R. Bulla Lithography

$250.00

Essay Overview:
Tucked away in a quiet cobblestone alleyway, not far from the tourist bustle of Piazza del Popolo in the historic centre of Rome, lies an artistic treasure - Litografia R. Bulla, a lithography studio and workshop since 1818.

Litografia R. Bulla is one of the oldest surviving artists’ lithography studios in the world.  Generations of the Bulla family have continued their ancient craft over several centuries, extending their rich historical legacy into modern day and the digital era.

Situated in a four-storey 18th century palazzo, the historical studio is now managed by sisters Flamminia and Beatrice, the seventh generation of the Bulla family, breathing new life into the ancient craft.
